The Chazov-Dmytryk-Harkov deductive logic test is a series of puzzles placed throughout the Melbourne CBD. Solving one puzzle leads to the location of the next puzzle and so on. The puzzles lead you down alleys that have been selected to get progressively more oppressive and maze-like. The tone of the posters also gets more authoritarian and bizarre but is all based in fact. I hope that the experience for a participant is derived as much from the environmental locations, as it is from the art works in each location.

The first puzzle is located in Bullens La, off Lt Bourke St (near the corner of Lt Bourke st and Russell st).

If you attempt the test, I make the following recommendations:

1. Set aside about 1 hour (the puzzles are relatively close to eachother but you will require several minutes at each location to solve the problems)

2. If possible, take an iPhone or similar device to check the solutions if you get stuck.

3. Consider taking a friend (2 heads are better than one).

4. If you're feeling adventerous, do it at night (I put these things up alone at night under risk of arrest). I think it'd be really fun to do after a few drinks at night with a large group of friends. (Also a large group reduces the chances of you getting stabbed).
